WNY Baseball Community,
We love this game. We love this community. We love knowing that Buffalo is a hidden mecca of talent ranging from house baseball through college programs. Since day one, our objective at 3&2 Baseball has been to continue to grow the game within Western New York. The feedback on our facility, training, staff, etc. has been nothing short of incredible since Tonawanda was opened September '21. The need for a practice facility that felt like home was in such demand that we brought aboard Mike & Courtney Nolan to help open and run our 2nd location in Clarence this past November. The constant feedback from players, coaches and parents alike has only reassured that the love for the game is alive and well within the 716.
So as we discussed our summer plans, we decided to swing for the fence. Having already filled up The Landing Classic, our inaugural 9u-12u tournament, we wanted something more. We wanted to put on an event that would draw the interest of all players and families in the area while giving back to the community that has welcomed us with open arms. With all of this in mind, we decided to attempt the World's Longest Marathon Baseball Game and raise money for a local foundation which benefits children in the area.
Through the power of social media, we posted in search of a well-known sponsor with ties to 3&2 Baseball. Within minutes, our inbox erupted with so many deserving charities and foundations. Working through the list with a small set of criteria in mind, we decided that WNY Camp Good Days checked each and every box.
Net proceeds from this game will stay in the community and go towards continuing the daily efforts of WNY Camp Good Days which support the families of children who are directly affected by Cancer. We're honored that they accepted our invitation for a partnership and blown away by the support we've already received to date.
To be honest, we're not fundraisers, we're not marketing specialists and we're not event coordinators. We're players, we're coaches, we're parents and small business owners who are humbled by this opportunity. We look forward to planning and executing this event to the best of our ability and making sure all participants enjoy every inning along the way.
Go Bills!
Ron Pilat & Mike Nolan
